De Meerpaal is a special educational needs (SO) school for children with severe learning difficulties (ZMLK) aged 4 to 13. De Meerpaal is based in Den Helder and has a branch in Schagen. Tailored education is offered: individually focused and in small groups. This vacancy has arisen in the Den Helder B group (5 to 8-year-olds) at the Den Helder location.
De Meerpaal is part of the Cooperation School Foundation.
Stichting Samenwerkingsschool provides education in the Kop van Noord-Holland and on Texel for pupils between the ages of 4 and 18 who experience a certain degree of difficulties in their learning and development process that mainstream education cannot accommodate. In collaboration with external care and education partners, the education is organised based on the special educational needs of the pupils.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a colleague with a strong personality who preferably has an affinity and experience with our target group.
A great colleague who:
- Has an affinity for pupils with a developmental delay;
- Willing and able to work as part of a team.;
- Education that is appropriate for the students' level;
- Can deliver tailored solutions on both a didactic and pedagogical level;
- A safe pedagogical climate can offer;
- be able to register pupils' progress and development and discuss this with parents and any care services involved.
- identifies concerns among pupils and raises these with the colleagues concerned and/or the support coordinator;
- Works with our competencies and period registration;
From your motivation and CV it appears that you:
- Have an affinity with special needs education;
- wishes to contribute to our education and pedagogical climate;
- Hold a primary school teaching qualification (PABO);
- Preferably has experience in Special Education Needs (SEN) / Special Secondary Education (VSO).;
- Relatieve vermogen, geduld en humor.
Employment conditions
