Education Region Hollands Noorden is a network of schools, educators and cooperation partners in secondary education and senior secondary vocational education in North Holland above the North Sea Canal. Together, we work to tackle the teacher shortage and organise future-proof education in the region. We do this through four programme lines: intake, training, professionalisation and innovation.

The Education Desk is the central point for people who want to orientate on a career in education. We offer:

• Information evenings and training sessions

• Personal guidance through the intake broker

• Practical opportunities to run with schools

• Insight into training courses, authorisation paths and vacancies

In a Regional Training School, we train students to become teachers together. Here, schools and teacher training institutes work intensively together to improve the training offer, strengthen supervision and optimise the connection to practice.

Education region Hollands Noorden has several training schools where students can go for internships, supported employment or hybrid pathways.

By Lifelong Development, we mean the sustainable professionalisation of all education professionals in the region. We do this by, among other things:

• Offer regional training offerings through our new LMS

• Providing teachers and school leaders with opportunities for continuous training

• Promote knowledge sharing and networking within and between schools

No, our focus is on secondary education and mbo. However, we do actively seek cooperation with other partners and sectors, for example when it comes to technology education or continuous learning lines.
