VSO de Stormvogel is a school for pupils with an intellectual and/or physical disability. The team has been enthusiastically working with a trauma- and culture-sensitive approach for years. With our pupils, we want to work from the core values of safety, responsibility, respect, and togetherness, in order to prepare them for society as independently and self-sufficiently as possible.
Within our school, you play a central and indispensable role in pupil support. You ensure the smooth running of pupil admissions and guidance. You coordinate applications, TLV (Toelaatbaarheidsverklaring) pathways, and the commencement of OPPs (Ontwikkelingsperspectiefplan), working closely with the internal supervisors and the behavioural expert. You maintain an overview of TLV extensions and take the lead on policy regarding action-oriented working (HGW policy). Furthermore, you actively contribute to policy discussions and help drive the school's further development. You are the point of contact for the collaborative partnership and consult with fellow support coordinators. You actively participate in the Guidance Committee (CvB). Finally, you ensure that practical matters, such as transport declarations, are arranged properly and carefully.

Job requirements
Have you- a completed degree in pedagogy, educational sciences, a teaching qualification with and/or a related higher professional/university education?
- Affinity with the target group within special (secondary) education?
- the ability to observe and analyse pupil behaviour and characteristics effectively, and to translate this into appropriate learning activities?
- strong analytical skills and the ability to express observations and analyses clearly, carefully and substantiated, both orally and in writing?
- Experience with and insight into case studies and complex support needs?
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations and do you know your way around the partnership?
- knowledge of OPP's and TLV's and knows how to draw them up carefully and purposefully?
- A forward-looking approach: do you think ahead and translate developments into appropriate action and policy within the school?

About Foundation Trigoon, VSO De Stormvogel
Stichting Trigoon is responsible for five primary and secondary special education schools, including two vocational training schools (Praktijkschool West-Friesland, Hoorn and Praktijkschool West-Friesland, Stede Broec), a special secondary education school (de Stormvogel) in Hoorn, and a special primary education school ('t Palet) in Grootebroek. The schools also include a special education school and a primary school for children with special educational needs in Hoorn, which together form an Integrated Child and Expertise Centre (IKEC de Zevensprong).
