The function
As a teacher, you will collaborate with a team of colleagues on the development and renewal of vocational education that is aligned with professional practice. Your role is to provide education (preparation, execution, assessment, and evaluation) tailored to the learning needs of the students. You will teach our students in the (Personal) Social Care Assistant programmes. We are looking for a teacher who will teach subjects such as: methodical action, target groups, care (cooking and household management), and communication. Guiding hybrid projects is also part of the responsibilities. Furthermore, you will guide individual and group students in their learning process, with coaching and empowering students being important aspects. You will also have the freedom to help shape the curriculum by developing teaching materials and (final) assignments.
About the team
The Social Work team provides various courses that train students for and prepare them for a role in Social Work. This includes the roles of (Personal) Social Work Counsellor. Our ambition is to offer a high-quality and challenging course that responds to current and future developments in the field. The team consists of 13 colleagues for approximately 200 students in the BOL and BBL courses at levels 3 and 4.
Job requirements
Your profile
You are qualified to teach in vocational education, preferably you have completed the vocational training for Health & Welfare lecturers, or you have a higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working and are willing to obtain your teaching qualification.;
You are familiar with the field of Social Care.
you are focused on cooperation in a results-oriented team;
You have good coaching and communication skills.;
You are able to see and influence group dynamics within your group. You are strong in your classroom management and in establishing professional relationships with your students;
You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.;
You are a team player with a healthy dose of humour and perspective.

Initially, this is a temporary appointment until the end of the school year, with the possibility of an extension.;
Qualified teachers are offered the opportunity to be appointed as a Core Teacher in salary scale LC (€4,226 to a maximum of €6,210 with a full-time appointment). If you do not have teaching qualifications for vocational education (mbo), you will be appointed as a teacher in scale LB (€3,713 to a maximum of €5,495 with a full-time appointment). Placement in a salary scale will be based on knowledge, skills, and education.;
