Within the German department, you will collaborate with two competent and enthusiastic colleagues who have firmly established the subject. Together, you will continue to build inspiring and high-quality German education. In the lower school, pupils are offered German from year 2. After the 2-year introductory class, pupils continue their education in Year 3 of Mavo or Year 3 of Havo, where they can opt for German.
Job requirements
We are a secondary school offering HAVO and MAVO pathways, with a two-year, mixed-ability Year 7/8 (brugklas). Following this, our students continue their secondary education in Year 9 in either the MAVO or HAVO pathway. In consultation, we will determine which classes you will teach. We offer our students an education where, as a German teacher, you will lay a strong foundation in general knowledge and skills. Furthermore, students will receive education in civic education (consider debate skills, philosophy, humanistic education). Civic education is so crucial in our vision that we want to give it significant importance. We are educating critical citizens who are not afraid to question matters. In addition, we particularly want to focus on inclusivity. We aim to foster empathy. Debating, drama, and Deep Democracy support this.Employment conditions
