Vonk, in collaboration with Talland College, is seeking a strategically strong and connective 'Practor' (lecturer/researcher) for the Sustainable Labour Market. In this role, you will have integral leadership of the practoraat within Entree NH. From Vonk, you will work intensively with Talland College, regional pro- and vso-schools, the Regional Work Centre RPAnhn, and the Zaanstreek-Waterland labour market region.

Sustainable Labour Market Practitioner (0.6 – 0.8 FTE)
This appointment is initially for 4 years (2026–2029) with the prospect of structural incorporation.
The four-year Practoraat Sustainable Labour Market is part of the sustainability efforts of Entree NH (2026–2029) and aligns with the objectives of the Noord-Holland Noord Region Deal. The Practoraat is developing into a regional knowledge and development centre for young people and adults (aged 16–30) in a vulnerable position in the labour market.
The Practoraat focuses on:
- Practice-oriented research into talent recognition and inclusive labour market integration.;
- further development of Entry-level Education and learning/work pathways;
- Professionalisation of teachers, supervisors and job coaches;
- structural link between education, government and employers;
- Positioning Entree NH as a knowledge director within the regional ecosystem.
What will you do?
As a Practor, you operate at the intersection of educational development, labour market policy, and regional cooperation. The role is distinctly strategic, requiring political sensitivity, external positioning, and connective leadership.
- You report within Vonk at director/board level;
- represents the Exam Board in regional consultative structures;
- you are a strategic discussion partner for directors of educational institutions, municipalities, partnerships for inclusive education, and employers in the region;
- You make a substantive contribution to regional agendas on inclusive labour markets and Lifelong Learning.
1. Providing strategic direction:
- develop and implement a multi-year research and development agenda;
- initiating and guiding three substantive research lines (including one focused on non-native speakers);
- positioning the Practorate within regional and national developments;
- ensuring sustainable anchoring after the project period.
- initiating and sustaining public-private partnerships;
- Connecting MBO, PRO, VSO, municipalities, UWV and employers;
- creating managerial buy-in and shared ownership;
- supervising teacher-researchers;
- developing knowledge products and educational modules;
- organising knowledge sharing through regional meetings and publications;
- Strengthening the research culture within Entree NH;
- focus on quality, monitoring and impact;
- reporting on results through quarterly and annual reports;
Job requirements
Naturally, you are a very pleasant colleague to work with. - You have extensive experience in conducting practice-oriented research (preferably within an MBO or labour market context) and in leading research projects and programmes;
- you have knowledge of inclusive labour market development, Entree education, NT2 and lifelong learning;
- You are a driver of change and innovation within and beyond education.;
- You are a networker, accustomed to collaborating results-orientated on a partnership basis with internal and external parties.;
- You have experience in complex public-private partnerships and can draw on administrative sensitivity and a well-developed political antenna in doing so.;
- You work in a structured, planned way and have an eye for detail.;
- You are capable of thinking strategically and conceptually, and then translating this into concrete steps in an inspiring way for the professionals around you.
