This concerns a temporary, bespoke provision for VMBO students who are at risk of dropping out.
What will you do?
Several educational boards in West Friesland are starting a joint facility in Hoorn for vmbo pupils who are at risk of dropping out of education. These pupils will be temporarily accommodated and guided to a suitable (educational) place.
The VMBO schools are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate teaching assistant to work with this group of pupils, ensuring a pleasant learning environment and a good future for them. You will do this in close collaboration with the teacher/mentor of this group of pupils. Your workplace is at SG Newton.
What do you bring?
- Strong pedagogical skills and a solution-oriented attitude
- The ability to provide calmness, structure, and a positive approach to pupils.
- Experience in supporting pupils with additional support needs
- You are confident and focused on collaboration
- A significant role in guiding pupils.
- A temporary appointment on a project basis until 31 December 2026.
- Scaled according to the CAO-VO in scale 7, depending on knowledge and experience.
