We are looking for someone with a second-grade teaching qualification or currently training for one, who has a fresh perspective on education and mathematics. Someone who can work independently but also has the ambition to maintain a high standard of teaching together with the subject department. You function well within a team and not only show initiative but also know how to handle group work.

The student's learning process is central to you. Coaching the student on the educational process and being able to work towards learning goals are important principles for us. In addition to wanting to shape these principles, you are well-equipped in terms of subject matter (-didactics) and can take responsibility for your students' educational outcomes.

Job requirements

What will you do?
As a maths teacher, you will teach our lower secondary (mavo/havo) and/or upper secondary (havo) classes, conveying the subject to the pupils in an accessible and practical way. With your enthusiastic and inspiring teaching style, you will ensure that the pupils develop.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and delivering inspiring and interactive mathematics lessons.
  • Developing teaching materials and practical assignments that align with the students' frame of reference.
  • Guiding and supporting pupils in their learning process, both individually and in groups.
  • Administering and marking tests and providing feedback.
  • Working with the section to improve the educational offering and implement innovations in the classroom.
  • Encouraging curiosity and enthusiasm among pupils.
  • Coaching pupils weekly or fortnightly.
What do we expect from you?
  • A second-grade teaching qualification to teach mathematics (or are in the process of obtaining one).
  • You have experience with or an interest in teaching mavo/havo and havo students.
  • A passion for mathematics and the ability to convey it in an inspiring way.
  • You have excellent communication skills and can respond well to the needs of different learners.
  • You work well with colleagues and are willing to contribute to our school's team dynamic.
