Job requirements
We are looking for an English teacher who:
- Meer does more than just teach; it creates a link between the curriculum and developments in society. Why is a good command of the English language important? Linking lessons to practice motivates and stimulates pupils, making the subject engaging and active. Through the methods we use, you encourage pupils to truly use the English language.
- You look closely at what the pupils need and differentiate your lessons and the way you address them so that everyone can participate. ‘Just going through the motions’ - that's not really our style.
- You create a safe atmosphere in the classroom, where all pupils can be themselves and dare to ask questions.
- Well, they are teenagers so having discussions and conversations (in English) is important, as is giving them room for their opinions, doubts, and misunderstandings.
