The mbo cluster Green, Technology, Shipping, Logistics and Veva is looking for an Education Manager II for the Hoorn location.
We are looking for a strong and experienced education manager with a strong affinity for vocational education (mbo), who will provide direction for the further development of our courses in Hoorn and play an important role in strengthening Lifelong Learning.
Education Manager 0.8 – 1.0 FTE
What will you do?
You lead one or more training teams within green vocational education at the Hoorn location. You are responsible for the management, development and quality of education, and for further strengthening collaboration within the teams, with the professional field, and with other parts of Vonk.
From the Spark strategy, you formulate clear goals together with your team that contribute to attractive, future-oriented education that is valued by students and the professional field.,
You coordinate content-wise the general policy and draw up (multi-year) activity plans with the team, including a (multi-year) budget, monitor these and steer their execution.
You bring calm, direction and structure, but also energy and development. You know what's going on in vocational education and understand what teams need to provide good education.
An important part of your assignment is the further development of vocational education (mbo) courses in Hoorn. This includes looking at the content of the teaching, the connection with the labour market, collaboration with secondary vocational education (vmbo), and the further development of learning pathways for young people and adults. You will contribute to an increase in the number of students choosing a green vocational training course and actively work on a strong profile for vocational education in Hoorn.
In addition, you will have a clear role in Lifelong Learning. You will help to further expand the offering for workers, career changers and companies. You will identify opportunities in the region, connect with partners and, together with colleagues, develop education that meets the demands of today and tomorrow.
You are a member of the Vonk MBO-wide management team. In this role, you actively contribute to the educational development and implementation across the whole of Vonk MBO. You contribute to strategic direction, ask positive yet critical questions, and take responsibility for Vonk-wide themes and portfolios that align with your knowledge, experience and expertise.
