Shaping the education of tomorrow together 
The Atlas College is a foundation with five unique secondary schools (publicly funded) in Hoorn, Medemblik and Edam. Every day, we work towards meaningful education for pupils from VMBO up to and including VWO. The service centre supports our schools in the areas of finance, IT, communication, human resources and organisation, and education and quality. 

Atlas College is looking for an education and quality adviser. In this role, you will work closely with the coordinating education and quality adviser to further strengthen educational quality within our schools. You will liaise with various colleagues at the schools and within the service centre. As an adviser, you will make an active contribution to educational development, quality assurance and policymaking. Hierarchically, you report to the coordinating education and quality adviser, who also manages the functional administrators of Magister.

You make an active contribution to the development, implementation and monitoring of education and quality policy. Over the coming years, the emphasis within this role will be on four key Atlas-wide developments:

1. Implementation and development of learning materials in collaboration with Neon (Dutch Education Institute).
2. Curriculum review.
3. Collaboration with the Hollands Noorden Training School, including the coordination of work placements and training pathways for student teachers.
4. The Atlas Academie; a digital platform through which, in cooperation with the Holland Noorden Education Region, we offer an attractive and high-quality range of learning activities for our colleagues.

In these developments you have an important role as an independent project manager, you handle Atlas-wide coordination with directors and management, and you connect policy, practice and quality development.

Your duties:

• You make an active contribution to the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the education and quality policy within the Atlas College.
• You collect, analyse and interpret relevant educational and quality data and translate these into concrete advice and policy proposals.
• You independently draft policy notes, reports, and advice, and present findings to schools, headteachers, and the governing body.
• You play an active role in the further development and implementation of the new curriculum and ensure Atlas-wide coordination and quality assurance.
• You are the point of contact for the joint development, implementation and further development of learning resources, including Neon, and maintain contact with internal and external partners for this purpose.
• You coordinate the collaboration surrounding the training school and are the point of contact for involved schools and collaborative partners.
• You identify national and regional developments in the fields of education, curriculum development and quality assurance, and translate these into opportunities and improvement initiatives for the Atlas College.
• You contribute to the implementation and further development of the planning and control cycle and the quality assurance system.
• You stimulate knowledge sharing, professionalisation and educational development within the schools, partly in collaboration with the Atlas Academie, People & Culture (HR) and Opleidingsschool Hollands Noorden.

Who are you?

• You are a robust educational advisor or teacher with relevant experience in curriculum development, quality assurance or policy advice.
• You possess a relevant completed higher vocational or university degree.
• You have demonstrable affinity with educational quality, curriculum development and educational innovation.
• You have strong analytical skills and know how to connect data, policy and practice.
• You have experience with project-based work and can independently coordinate processes and connect stakeholders.
• You communicate persuasively, both verbally and in writing, at various levels within the organisation.
• You are organisationally aware, collaborative and know how to create support among diverse stakeholders.
• You are proactive, results-oriented and take ownership of complex issues.
• Knowledge of or experience with curriculum development, training schools or learning materials development is an advantage.
