For our Construction training programme, we are looking for an enthusiastic lecturer for 0.5 FTE. We prefer an experienced lecturer. Do you have extensive experience in construction practice but no teaching qualification yet? We would also be delighted to hear from you. We would be happy to discuss the possibilities for an alternative entry route together.

Are you a committed and enthusiastic professional with an affinity for the construction sector? Do you get a buzz from guiding and inspiring students and do you know how to connect theory and practice in an engaging way? Then we are looking for you!

The function
As a Construction teacher, you will teach our Level 2 and potentially Level 3 BBL students. BBL stands for

Vocational Training Path, so these students work four days in vocational practice and come to school one day a week.

You will teach them everything there is to know about the profession. You are able to connect with the target audience and from there, you know how to get them to learn. As a study career counsellor, you will guide students in their personal development and their academic progress. Furthermore, you will contribute to the development and innovation of the educational program and collaborate with colleagues and external partners from the construction sector.

About the team
In Zaandam, a small but mighty team of five is ready, rolling up their sleeves together every day. We build good education, both literally and figuratively, with strong links to practical application. Our collaboration with the construction team in Heerhugowaard ensures we can easily exchange ideas and knowledge – as if we were all working together on one large project.

Many colleagues come from the construction industry themselves. You can tell: practice is never far from the classroom. We are a dynamic team, with an open and collegial atmosphere. We enjoy working together, with each other and with people from the construction sector.

We train approximately 200 vocational students in various construction courses. Together, we help them grow into skilled professionals who are not only handy with their hands but also confident and capable. Independent, social, and ready to take their place in society. Because that's what it's all about: building the future, brick by brick.

Your profile
We are looking for a true connector – someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and experience in construction with aspiring young professionals. Someone who enjoys working together with colleagues and construction companies in the Zaandam region to bring out the best in our students.

Whether you are already a teacher or come from the industry: if you enjoy working with mbo (vocational education) students at levels 2 and 3, you belong with us. You help students grow in their profession and as individuals. You know what's happening in practice and use that knowledge to make education lively, recognisable, and relevant.
