Biology Teacher for 0.5 FTE (sickness cover)
What will you do?
You pass on your love for your subject to vmbo students aged 12 to 16 every day. You know what's happening in your field and, like no one else, you creatively get students enthusiastic about the material. You act as a coach and mentor for your students and you are proactive towards parents and/or guardians about their child's progress. Together with colleagues from support and guidance, you also focus on students who require extra attention. A safe and stimulating learning environment is central to you, and you motivate students to achieve their maximum potential!

What do you bring?You are a teacher that students will remember fondly later on, not only because of your expertise, but especially because of your enthusiasm and commitment.
What else we expect from you:
- a qualified teacher status (QTS) for Biology at secondary school level (or you are currently studying towards this);
- Good pedagogical and teaching skills;
- enthusiasm and commitment to work with your colleagues to develop the curriculum for your own subject;
- creativity in the use of various working methods and the use of ICT tools and social media in the classroom;
- good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing.

Working at the Purmerend branch
In Purmerend, you and 92 colleagues will give our 700 pupils the support and guidance they need. Our education is a unique combination of green practical lessons and high-quality theory.
