Starting 1 August 2026, we are looking for an enthusiastic Biology teacher (qualified to teach across all secondary levels) for 0.6-0.8fte. You will be deployable in the lower and upper years of Mavo, Havo, and Vwo. You will be part of both a subject department and a year-group team. Depending on your experience, you may be asked to undertake the role of form tutor for a class.

Job requirements
You possess a relevant teaching qualification and know how to actively engage pupils in their learning process. In your lessons, you purposefully apply activating teaching methods and differentiation, tailored to the differences in ability and motivation within the class. You foster pupils' self-confidence and independence and make their development visible.
You have an affinity with ICT and make functional use of digital learning materials to enhance learning. You also know how to stimulate pupils' wonder about nature and life, and where appropriate, you address sustainability and societal issues. In doing so, you connect the curriculum content with the pupils' everyday lives.
Within the department, you collaborate on educational materials. You are open to feedback and continue to develop in alignment with your department head, subject team, and coach.
Employment conditions
What we offer
A temporary employment contract with a view to a permanent position. The salary is in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education.
In addition to salary, the Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (CAO VO) includes the following secondary employment conditions:
– holiday pay 8%;
– year-end bonus 8.3%;
– individual choice budget of 90 hours (on a full-time basis);
– ABP Pension;
– inability to work insurance (50% paid by the employer).
