Within the Executive Office, we do our utmost to support our colleagues in the schools as effectively as possible in the areas of IT, Finance, HR, and Learning & Development, so that they can focus entirely on the development and well-being of our pupils.
Due to the departure of a colleague, we are looking for a, effective from 1 October next,
Assistant Controller (
Finance Advisor (WTF 0.5 -0.6).
You will be given a key role in keeping our organisation financially healthy and are the point of contact for our schools. You know better than anyone how to bring figures to life. You provide advice and guide management through the story behind the figures.
The Finance department consists of a Finance & Control Manager, 2 Finance Advisers and a Finance Administrative Assistant.
Job requirements
Are you
- an all-round financial professional preferably with experience in education?
- accurate, critical and resilient under pressure?
Can you
- providing support in drawing up the budget, interim reports and the annual accounts?
- prioritising and comfortable with a budgeting tool, preferably ‘Capisci’?
- providing targeted and tactical advice, both solicited and unsolicited?
Would you like
- working in a dynamic educational environment?
- acting as a sparring partner to the (middle) management of the schools assigned to you regarding financial issues?
- ensure accurate, reliable and complete records?
Have you
- Degree-level working and thinking ability and at least an MQF Level 4/EQF Level 4 equivalent diploma in financial administration?

Employment conditions
We offer

- a fixed-term employment contract for the duration of one year, which, subject to proven suitability, will be followed by a permanent employment contract;
- a salary in accordance with the Secondary Education (VO) Collective Labour Agreement, scale 9, a minimum of €3,326 gross and a maximum of €5,025 gross per month on a full-time basis;
