Technical Education Assistant (TOA)

Your duties

As a TOA member, you support the teacher of the BiNaSk section in teaching and in guiding students. These include both students in the lower and upper grades.

What you are going to do:

• Preparation: setting up experiments and practices, including preparing the necessary materials and equipment.
• Guidance: supporting students during practical sessions and instructing them on safe and effective working in the laboratory.
• Maintenance: manage laboratory equipment and materials, check them, and if necessary repair or replace them.
• Working together: with teachers and the other TOAs to improve and innovate practice and lesson programs.
• Monitoring: compliance with safety regulations and the correct use of equipment and chemicals.

Job requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible TOA who inspires and supports students in practical work in a dynamic learning environment. Additionally, we are looking for someone who possesses:

– A completed mbo-4 degree in (laboratory) technology or equivalent.
– Has strong pedagogical skills and preferably experience in guiding students.
– Experience in preparing and conducting practices.
– A team player is one with excellent organizational skills.
– Is independent, proactive and flexible in the work.
– A strong affinity for physics, and in addition, an affinity for biology and chemistry
– good ICT skills

Employment conditions

This is a position as an assistant teacher (maximum €3,653 per full-time working relationship) starting February 1, 2027, with a size of 0.6 FTE.

Appointment until the end of the school year with the prospect of a permanent employment contract; with sufficient formation, there is the prospect of a permanent employment contract.
