VSO de Stormvogel is a school for pupils with an intellectual and/or physical disability. We want to work with our pupils based on the core values of safety, responsibility, respect and togetherness in order to prepare them for society as independently and self-reliantly as possible. The team has been working enthusiastically for years using a trauma- and culture-sensitive approach.

Job requirements

Are you 
  • Educated to Level 4 vocational (MBO) level (SPW4 or teaching assistant)? 
 Have you 
  • Do you have a learning attitude and good listening and conversational skills?
  • Experience and/or affinity with children with (special) educational needs?
  • an approachable attitude towards pupils and colleagues, and do you operate on the principle that “every day is a new chance”?

Employment conditions

We offer
  • A temporary employment contract for the duration of one year.  
  • Salary scaling in accordance with scale 5 of the Primary Education collective labour agreement (CAO-PO) (maximum €3,453 gross per month).

About Foundation Trigoon, VSO De Stormvogel

Stichting Trigoon is responsible for five primary and secondary special education schools, including two vocational training schools (Praktijkschool West-Friesland, Hoorn and Praktijkschool West-Friesland, Stede Broec), a special secondary education school (de Stormvogel) in Hoorn, and a special primary education school ('t Palet) in Grootebroek. The schools also include a special education school and a primary school for children with special educational needs in Hoorn, which together form an Integrated Child and Expertise Centre (IKEC de Zevensprong).
