Johannes Bosco is a warm and ambitious VMBO school in Heerhugowaard. We work with small classes, clear structures, and a flexible timetable that allows room to do what pupils need. We believe in tailored support, closeness, and relationships – especially for pupils who are struggling.
The support hub is our internal provision for pupils with complex support needs: behavioural issues, overstimulation, long-term absence, or stalled educational pathways. The hub forms a crucial link in our inclusive education, whereby pupils stabilise, develop skills, and work towards returning to mainstream education.
Within this facility, we are looking for someone who brings calm, works with a focus on behaviour, and is hands-on in practice.
Job requirements
You got it!We are looking for someone who is resilient, can read young people's behaviour well, and who does not see pupils with complex support needs as “difficult”, but as young people who simply need a little more. The work requires courage, reliability, and the ability to set firm boundaries without losing the relationship.
You have:
- MBO-4 qualification in Assistant Teacher, Educational Worker, or similar.
- Experience with pupils with behavioural problems (secondary education, special secondary education, or youth care is a plus).
- Rust, overzicht en het vermogen om spanning te reguleren bij leerlingen én bij jezelf.
- A consistent, reliable, and relationally strong way of working.
- The willingness to cooperate with youth care, youth work, HALT, and compulsory education, and any external support providers.
- An open mind and the conviction that structure, proximity, and predictability are essential.
Employment conditions
What we offer you!- A 0.6 – 0.8 FTE appointment spread over 5 working days until 31 July 2027, with a view to a permanent position.
- Salary and working conditions in accordance with the CAO VO, scale.
- End-of-year bonus, 8% holiday pay and pension through ABP.
- Travel allowance and attractive working expenses scheme.
- Intensive collaboration in a multidisciplinary team within a unique educational facility.
- Room for training and professional development, including around behaviour, interventions, collaboration with external partners, and inclusive educational practices.

About Johannes Bosco
Trinitas College as an employer
We are a contemporary and learning organisation that is constantly evolving. Our school is therefore the place for driven employees who want to develop their talents and realise their ambitions to take their profession to the highest possible level.
As an employee, you are seen and appreciated for the contribution you make every day to the development of our students. The teachers and staff at Trinitas College have a good relationship with the pupils and each other. We are involved, dare to be vulnerable and give each other feedback. This is how we learn from each other, continue to grow in our profession and keep the quality of education high. Trinitas College is a reliable and pleasant employer, where employees like to work and develop.
Trinitas College, with Han Fortmann (havo, vwo) and Johannes Bosco (vmbo) together form one school. Close contact exists between the two locations. From one vision, one mission and based on common core values from our Catholic tradition, Johannes Bosco and Han Fortmann give substance and form to education that suits their pupils as if they were one school.
Our ambitions guide what Trinitas College wants to work on in the coming years. We work on customisation, we have a positive school climate, we are at the centre of society and we cooperate according to the characteristics of a professional culture. Our ambitions give direction to educational development at Han Fortmann and Johannes Bosco, each with their own target group.
