As an economics teacher, you teach lower and upper secondary and havo students. You know how to convey the subject matter in a clear, practical way and effortlessly make the link between theory and daily reality. You guide pupils in their learning process and actively contribute to their development towards further education and profession. Not only in your lessons, but also together with your coach group.
Job requirements
Who are you and what will you do?- You have a 1st or 2nd grade teaching qualification (or in training), have proven experience in teaching economics at mavo and havo level.
- You will work as a personal coach of a group of students.
- You show students how economics works in everyday life and society.
- Together with your section, you make an active contribution to renewing and strengthening the subject of economics.
- Together with your section, you will help develop teaching materials, hands-on teaching and assignments that match students' learning goals.
- You will work together in an engaged team where there is room for ideas and initiative.
- You actively contribute ideas on how to further improve the didactic approach and learning outcomes of pupils.
- An advantage is if you have experience in supervising mavo and havo final exam pupils and administering PTA tests and exams.
- You are a 1st or 2nd grade qualified economics teacher (or almost qualified) and have extensive experience in teaching mavo and havo students....
- You have an affinity for hands-on and student-centred teaching.
- You are pedagogically strong, enthusiastic, love working together and stand firmly in front of the class.
- You dare to innovate and are open to development.
- You know how to motivate students and match different learning styles.
