Research in the school
Do you think the best Research in the School of 2025 has been carried out at your school? Submit your research before 10 January 2026 for the Hollands Noorden Research Prize 2025. Whether carried out by a teacher, student or OOP'er: any research carried out in the school year 2024/2025 and fully completed at a secondary or pre-university school in the Education Region Hollands Noorden is eligible. A condition is that the research actually took place at the school itself. Co-creation with other schools/institutes, also outside the region, is permitted. The proud winners will be given a unique platform: they will be allowed to present their research during the Conference Samen Op-leiden in de Onderwijsregio Hollands Noorden on 18 February 2026. The prize consists of an all-expenses-paid international multi-day study trip!

Innovation & Research
The Innovation & Research team lives up to its name by visiting various initiatives -including virtual campus and immersive rooms. In addition, we gather knowledge at conferences on technological innovations that can help improve education with less effort and time, and we talk to education professionals about their approach to organising and working differently. We organise the aforementioned inspiration session in which we share the knowledge we have picked up with you -teachers, school leaders, HR professionals, teaching assistants and other interested parties-.

Learning & Development
Hollands Noorden Academy
Since 3 November, the Hollands Noorden regional Academy has been live. You will find classroom trainings, documents, pod-casts and videos, divided into 12 learning categories such as pedagogy, didactics, sustainable employability and innovation & research. Training courses on the IBP standards framework are also included. The offer also collaborates with the Cooperation Associations in the region. Their training courses are listed in the Inclusive and appropriate education category. Bétapartners and Alfa/gammapartners are also affiliated; you will find their offerings under subject-specific education. Each organisation unlocks the Academy through its own ICT environment, giving it its own name, such as PSG Academy or Academy by the Sea. Boards decide for themselves when to give staff access. Full connection of all boards is planned for school year 2026-2027.
Sustainable employability & HRM
Within the programme line Learning & Development, we work on sustainable employability and human resource management in addition to the academy. For both themes, we are still looking for project leaders for one day a week. The vacancies have been distributed via the regional HR network.
