Policy Advisor Education & Quality

We are looking for a Policy Adviser for Education and Quality for 24 – 32 hours per week (0.6000 – 0.8000 FTE)

Your role:
As a Policy Advisor for Education and Quality, you play an important role in the sustainable improvement and safeguarding of educational quality within the Martinuscollege.
 
You are our subject matter expert and strategic partner in the fields of education, quality development and quality assurance. Appropriate and inclusive education is one of the areas you will be working on.
 
You develop and evaluate policy, analyse developments and data, and translate these into clear policy choices and concrete improvement actions. In doing so, you look beyond the here and now: you understand the bigger picture, think ahead and know what long-term choices might entail.
 
You advise the CEO-director, school leaders and other colleagues both solicited and unsolicited. You prepare decision-making by making scenarios, risks and consequences transparent, and know how to reduce complex issues to their essence.
 
At the same time, you have both feet firmly planted in everyday practice. You genuinely help policy land within the organisation, encourage innovation and improvement, and ensure that results are not only achieved, but also sustainably embedded. The quality cycle of analysis, policy, implementation, evaluation and adjustment is in safe hands with you.

• You are organisational-sensitive. You understand that good advice not only needs to be correct in substance, but also has to fit the people, culture and dynamics of the organisation.
• Results-driven works. You set priorities, monitor progress, and keep your focus on the end result. Furthermore, you ensure that improvements are actually implemented and embedded.
• Enjoys collaboration. You actively seek cooperation with various disciplines and levels, utilise the expertise of others and know how to connect diverse perspectives into workable solutions.
• Are curious and eager to learn. You follow developments within education and quality assurance, share knowledge and see opportunities for innovation and professionalisation.

What do you bring?

• You have extensive knowledge of educational policy and development and the relevant laws and regulations.
• In addition, you have knowledge of quality assurance and the inspection framework of the education inspectorate.
• You can develop, justify and advocate policy, and know how to incorporate various interests and perspectives into your advice.
• More importantly, you are someone who thinks, connects and acts. You see what is needed, know how to ask the right questions and are able to translate a complex analysis into clear advice and a concrete course of action.
