What will you do?
As a teacher, you passionately impart your subject knowledge to VMBO students aged 12 to 16. This includes teaching the 3rd and 4th year, alongside school and final exams. You make the subject matter engaging and relevant, and know how to captivate students with creative teaching methods. You are not just a teacher, but also a mentor who actively focuses on your students' personal development. Whether it's guidance, parent contact or creating a safe learning environment: you ensure that every student achieves their maximum potential!

What we expect from you:
• a lower secondary teaching qualification in Physics/Chemistry
- strong pedagogical and teaching skills;
- Creative and enthusiastic in developing the curriculum;
- Proficient in using ICT tools and social media in the classroom;
- good command of the Dutch language both verbally and in writing.

Your salary will be scaled according to scale LB of the CAO mbo, with a gross monthly salary between €3,713 and €5,495 for full-time employment, depending on your experience.
Working at the Alkmaar branch
Welcome to our largest branch, where over 500 pupils and almost 900 students learn and grow together. Despite our size, the school feels small and personal: we know each other here and there is room for individual attention. In our modern building, over 200 colleagues from pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) and vocational education (MBO) work together under one roof, creating a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.

We have a professional teaching kitchen where students learn the art of cooking, a well-equipped stable full of horses for practical animal care lessons, and a spacious, green garden where theory and practice come together.
