Are you that Dutch and citizenship teacher who is able to inspire the vocational education student? Then we are looking for you!

The function
You teach Dutch and citizenship to students in the Engineering sector, across various courses, levels and year groups. You use appealing examples from the students' professional practice. You support subject teachers and mentors with the language development of their students. In addition, together with your colleagues, you develop lessons and educational programmes for the subject of Dutch. The majority of the lessons take place in Zaandam at the motor vehicles department, and a trip to a corporate training programme in both Zaandam and Purmerend is part of the role.

You will be working in an experienced and professional team of driven teachers. This close-knit team, with a passion for vocational education students (MBO), is always looking for new lesson ideas and ways to motivate the students. Job requirements

Your profile
You have at least a second-grade teaching qualification for Dutch language, or you are currently following a teacher training course. A completed primary school teacher training (Pabo) qualification, with a willingness to undertake further training, is also negotiable.
You are aware of recent developments within the Dutch language subject in vocational education and you know how the Dutch language subject can be linked to vocational tasks. You are familiar with the use of ICT in education.
In addition, you have your own transport and enjoy working at various outdoor locations.

You are a team player, think in terms of possibilities and see opportunities for improvement and innovation. Flexibility and a good sense of humour can be very useful.
It is an advantage if you have experience and affinity with the young adult target group, maintaining a coaching attitude towards them.

If you do not have teaching qualifications for vocational education (mbo), you will be placed on the salary scale LB (€3,713 to a maximum of €5,495 for a full-time contract). Placement is also based on knowledge, experience, and education.;

  • holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.33%;
