We are looking for an English teacher for our small-scale school on Texel. You will teach pupils in the lower years of vmbo & mavo and will make a significant contribution to their language development and self-confidence.

What will you do?
As an English teacher, you deliver lessons to pupils across various educational levels. You know how to motivate students and make the English language accessible, challenging, and relevant.
Your responsibilities include:

  • delivering inspiring and engaging English lessons;
  • developing speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills;
  • differentiating within the classroom and responding to different learning needs;
  • supporting pupils in their development and learning process;
  • Working with colleagues within the Modern Foreign Languages section and the teaching team;
  • contributing to the further development of education.
Who are you?
You are a dedicated teacher who enjoys teaching and knows how to challenge students to bring out the best in themselves. You create a safe learning environment where students feel seen and can develop.
 
Additionally:
  • Do you have a second-grade teaching qualification in English, or are you in the process of completing one?;
  • Do you have an affinity with VMBO and MAVO pupils?;
  • Are you strong in terms of teaching and pedagogy?;
  • Can you respond well to the differences between pupils?;
  • Do you enjoy working in a small, close-knit team?.
Newly qualified teachers and those in the final stages of their teacher training are also warmly invited to apply.
