What will you do?
- Monthly payroll processing. You ensure that all 420 of our colleagues receive their salaries accurately and on time every month.
- Processing and checking salary changes. From monthly changes, travel expenses, deductions, reimbursements, allowances to periodic payments.
- Maintain contact with colleagues from our locations. You proactively gather the correct information for flawless processing.
- Provide support. During checks, audits and reporting.
- To be the point of contact. Do colleagues have questions about their pay or their employment status? You’ll be there to assist them in a friendly manner and provide a clear answer.
Tabor College is a dynamic school community in Hoorn with three campuses: d’Ampte, Oscar Romero and Werenfridus. We offer all types of secondary education (VMBO, MAVO, HAVO, Atheneum, Gymnasium and bilingual education).
Your home base will be the administrative office, our fourth location. Here, the P&O team handles complete personnel and payroll administration, and we support management with HR policy. So, you'll be indirectly contributing to the future of our pupils and society!
Our team consists of an HR manager, two HR advisors, a payroll administrator, and a colleague in HR administration. We are an enthusiastic and committed team with a lot of inter-team contact and extensive expertise. We have lunch together with colleagues from the Management Bureau (including IT, Finance, Secretariat and PR), regularly go for a pleasant walk, and have a great workplace with a modern sit-stand desk.
What do we expect from you?
You are a professional who likes to get things done properly, works independently and maintains an overview. You are strong with figures, accurate and a good communicator. You also recognise yourself in the following:
- At least vocational level (MBO) in terms of working and thinking ability.
- You have at least 2 years of recent experience as a payroll administrator.
- You are available to work 0.6 FTE. We will agree on your working hours and days in consultation with you. However, it is important that you are able to step in flexibly during peak periods (such as the start and end of the school year and the New Year).
- You have a curious outlook on digitalisation. Our team is busy automating processes and your smart ideas to do it faster or better are more than welcome!
- You have experience with the CAO VO (secondary education) or systems like Merces/HR2day. This is a bonus, but we're happy to teach you otherwise!
- Salary: A position within salary scale 7 in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Secondary Education (€2,832 to €3,984 gross per month based on a full-time appointment, this includes the salary increase effective 01/11/2026). Your salary will depend on your experience and current salary scale placement.
- Extras: An end-of-year bonus (8.33%), holiday pay (8%), an annual payment of €1,640 (pro-rata) in October, a generous flexible working time allowance (90 hours for a full-time position) and an ABP pension scheme.
- Balance All school holidays off! This gives you plenty of time to fully recharge. This involves 4 weeks of summer holidays instead of 6 weeks.
- Certainty: We are starting with a one-year contract, with a clear prospect of a permanent position.
