Within the Facilities & Service team, we work with a location-focused approach to create a welcoming, safe, and well-organised learning and working environment. At our sites, themes such as service management, hospitality, security, supervision, and emergency response play an important, overarching role.

We are in full development and are building future-oriented services from our central service point. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Service Manager with an overview, the ability to connect, and a keen eye for quality.

Your role
As Service Manager, you are functionally responsible for the management of the central service team. You are the point of contact for the quality of our first-line digital services (Click & Call). You ensure that agreed requirements and wishes of internal and external customers are met and continuously improved.
You will monitor the progress of digital services and requests, making adjustments as needed according to the Plan-Do-Check-Act method. In addition, you will play a key role in developing and implementing new first-line digital services that originate from other departments or sectors.

The function

  • Functionally managing the central service team;

  • ensure the quality and continuity of the digital first-line services (Click & Call);

  • monitoring and analysing performance and processes, including via KPIs;

  • Coordinating the introduction of new digital services;

  • drafting clear reports and actively involving management in data and insights;

  • advising management on service provision and service quality;

  • proactively working on process optimisation;

  • Translating organisational goals into service provision and service concepts.;

  • Contributing to and drafting facilities policy.

Job requirements

Your profile
You are an analytical and structured service manager with a natural leadership style. You enjoy teamwork, can bring people along with changes, and feel responsible for the outcome. You easily switch between operational level and tactical improvements. Furthermore, you have:

  • a completed higher professional education (HBO) diploma, preferably in a facility management related field;

  • experience in process optimisation and policy drafting;

  • Knowledge of Topdesk or a similar service management system;

  • strong competencies in:

    • Planning and organising;

    • analytical ability;

    • networker;

    • Director.

  • a 0.75 FTE position;

  • This is initially a temporary appointment for the period of one year, with the possibility of an extension;

  • a salary in scale 10 ranging from €3,713 to a maximum of €5,495 gross per month for a full-time appointment. This means a position as a policy and advisory officer. Your grading will depend on your relevant work experience and education;

  • holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.33%;
