About SKILLS vmbo

Doing is central to us. Not without thinking. We work together, enjoy each other's talents and arrive at thoughtful elaborations, approaches or learning methods.

That is our way of working.

Our students learn mainly by experiencing. And they enjoy doing so. Our resourceful approach ensures that we come up with the right approach to help pupils and staff grow. With that approach, we teach pupils to be thoughtful. That is sometimes a bit of a struggle. But we do it together.

We offer future prospects to our pupils. We help them advance personally, professionally and socially. This allows them to create the future they would like to see themselves in. Preferably, we give them the tools to do so today that will only be available tomorrow. In doing so, we focus on the growth and development of both our students and staff. We carry valuable lessons with us and continue the upward trend we are in the middle of.
We connect students to their future.

Making a choice leads to motivation. It makes you commit 100% to it. For our students, this is sometimes quite exciting. Therefore, as a school, we want to offer support in making these choices and ensure that everyone can discover his/her talents and interests.

All students choose one of five profiles at the end of the second class:

1. Hospitality, Bakery and Recreation
2. Care and welfare
3. Economy and Entrepreneurship
4. Building, housing and interiors
5. Manufacturing, installation and energy

SKILLS vmbo is an attractive employer that coaches employees on a personal level and offers good working conditions. We have an extensive teacher support team that can support novice and experienced teachers or help them innovate. Because the school is part of Stichting Voortgezet Onderwijs Kennemerland (SVOK), employees also have good future prospects with good employment, development and advancement opportunities.
