Do you have experience in electrical engineering and an affinity for education? Do you find it challenging to inspire and motivate our students to develop into skilled professionals? Do you enjoy teaching them the latest developments in your field? Then we are looking for you!

The function

As an Electrical Engineering lecturer, you teach the various electrical engineering courses, from level 2 technician courses to level 4 technician courses. In addition, you also provide practical supervision and teach elective modules.

You are a study career counsellor for your groups of students, guiding them through the progress of their studies. You also keep an eye on the development of your students' professional attitude in practice. To this end, you maintain contact with the educators in the field. You are willing to teach one or two evenings a week in addition to daytime classes.

About the team
The Electrical Engineering team’s courses are firmly established vocational training programmes in the region, with strong collaboration with practical training providers such as IW Noord-Holland and GoFlex. Our education is largely delivered in the BBL (work-based learning) variant, meaning students attend school one day a week and work four days a week for a recognised training company. Our BBL courses are at levels 2, 3, and 4. We are continuously engaged in our educational and team development. Some of the teaching team have backgrounds from the business world. This contributes to a strong connection with professional practice within the training. The collaboration with the business community is well-managed through both close cooperation with practical training providers and the dedication of a BPV (work placement) supervisor. Given the variety of courses, locations, themes, and the size of the team, good cooperation is incredibly important. We are looking for a new, active, and enthusiastic team player.
