PSG is looking for a Team Leader Financial Administration who thrives in a dynamic environment, is strong in financial control, and gets energy from further strengthening the financial function and the organisation as a whole. 

 

Your role 

As Team Leader of Financial Administration, you will lead a team of four employees within the Service and Expertise Centre. You will work at an operational and tactical level on a variety of issues. You are a true connector: you oversee what is happening, bring people together, and provide direction and cohesion. 

You contribute to the development and implementation of multi-year policies and support directors and management. You switch easily between different roles: from leading projects and programmes to guiding change and thinking along about operational choices.  

 

What will you do? 

  • You organise the month-end closing process in such a way that it leads to timely, complete, and reliable financial information. 
  • You translate the strategic starting points drawn up by the board into concrete actions; 
  • You lead a team with both operational and tactical tasks.; 
  • You connect different interests and stakeholders, even when they diverge.; 
  • You support the controller, management board and MT with financial information for decision-making. 
  • You monitor the quality and coherence of processes within your domain.; 
  • You will support the preparation of reports, annual accounts and (multi-year) budgets.; 
  • You are the point of contact during the annual audit. 

 

What do you bring? 

  • HBO+/WO working and thinking level and a solid foundation in the financial field, experience in education is a plus;
  • Understanding how different policy areas are interconnected
  • The ability to advise clearly and switch easily at a tactical level;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Leadership: you provide direction, bring calm and know how to bring people along.;
  • You switch smoothly between strategy and execution, with an eye for quality and continuity.

  • A one-year contract of 0.8 – 1.0 FTE, with a view to a permanent position;
  • Salary according to collective labour agreement for further vocational education (cao-vo), scale 12.;

About the Purmerend Schools Group

The Purmerendse ScholenGroep (PSG) is a partnership of six secondary schools in the Waterland region and surrounding municipalities. The organisation has a havo/vwo campus (Jan van Egmond Lyceum and Da Vinci College), a vmbo/pro campus (SG Antoni Gaudí, SG Nelson Mandela, SG W.J. Bladergroen, the SG Gerrit Rietveld) and support services.
