Come work in a fun gymnasium department
We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher of Classical Languages who enjoys teaching in both the lower and upper years of VWO (pre-university secondary education). You will be part of a committed subject department and a close-knit year group team. Depending on your experience, a pastoral role (mentoring) may also be a possibility.
Your role within our school
Our school offers challenging and innovative education where knowledge and quality are central. We are actively working to further strengthen our grammar school department within the school and the region. That's why we are looking for a colleague who wants to actively contribute to this and, together with us, help shape the future of the grammar school.
Within the Classics section, you will collaborate on:
- developing inspiring teaching materials;
- developing pupils in knowledge and confidence, including by focusing on learning how to learn;
- shaping cultural activities and journeys that bring classical antiquity to life;
- Exploring and applying formative action.
You work in an environment where collaboration is a given – not just within the department, but also within the team and the gymnasium working group.
Working at the Bonhoeffer College

- holds a first-degree qualification in Classical Languages;
- open to educational innovation, activating teaching methods and differentiation;
- has an affinity for ICT and digital learning materials;
- Enjoys working collaboratively and continuously developing themselves.
