Job requirementsNext school year, our first batch of mavo students will take their biology exams, followed by havo the year after and vwo two years later. Therefore, we are looking for a biology teacher with demonstrable experience in teaching upper secondary and final exam classes.
We are looking for someone who is familiar with the examination programmes and requirements for biology (mavo, havo and vwo), who can prepare pupils for the central exam in a goal-oriented way, and who stands firm in his or her shoes. You know how to structure the subject matter, build a clear learning line a clear learning line towards the exam and have an eye for individual coaching. You can coach pupils in their inquisitive and biological thinking process, help them develop an understanding of interrelationships within humans, animals, plants and ecosystems, and guide them towards optimal results.
You have experience in upper secondary biology and are able to differentiate by level and profile. You know how to both support and challenge students and can switch between conceptual understanding, practicals, fieldwork, application assignments and targeted exam preparation.

About Kairos Teen College
About Kairos College
The Kairos College (until 1 August still Kairos Teenage College) is a relatively young school for secondary Waldorf education in Amsterdam North. From school year 2026-2027, Kairos College will continue as an independent school under its own management.
In school year 2026-2027, we provide education to 280 pupils in grades 1 to 4 in heterogeneous classes up to the third year. In the same school year, the first mavo final exams take place. In subsequent years, we will grow into a fully-fledged comprehensive secondary school with examination routes for mavo, havo and vwo.
Development and pioneering phase
In the coming years, Kairos College will still be in a pioneering phase. This means that we are building together to further develop the school, the curriculum and the organisation. This phase calls for committed, experienced and initiating professionals who want to participate in the further growth and shaping of our school.
