Within Pontis Onderwijsgroep in Schagen and Heerhugowaard, ‘the organisation that facilitates’ is central. From the Central Support Services (COD), we support our schools so that colleagues in education can focus on good education for our pupils.

COD consists of different teams, each with their own expertise, such as HR, finance, marketing & communication, facilities, ICT, etc. Together, we ensure that processes run smoothly, colleagues have the right resources and the organisation continues to develop.

You are part of the Teaching Facilities team: a professional and committed team in which ownership and cooperation are key. You work independently, keep control of your work and coordinate with colleagues and the coordinator of Facilities Affairs. Your work ensures that staff and students can work and learn safely and pleasantly.

Job requirements

What will you do?
As technical services assistant, you will take care of the maintenance and management of buildings and facilities and solve malfunctions when necessary. You work independently and determine your priorities in consultation with facilities coordinator.
Your place of employment is Heerhugowaard. From there, you are responsible for two school locations (Johannes Bosco and Han Fortmann) and act as the first point of contact for malfunctions and maintenance questions. You work according to a plan where possible, change gear quickly when necessary and and keep the Facility Affairs coordinator informed of progress.
Your work will mainly take place during school weeks, with deployment during school holidays where necessary.

Your duties will include:
  • Maintenance, repair and minor reconstruction work on buildings, installations and grounds;
  • Management of technical installations, including digital adjustments through building management systems;
  • Independently handle facility reports;
  • Troubleshooting and directing external parties;
  • Monitor safety (including fire alarm systems, lighting and security);
  • Supervise third-party work;
  • Record work and identify improvements.
You have the
You show ownership, feel responsible for your work and act loyally towards the organisation and your colleagues. You work carefully, communicate clearly and keep an overview, even when the pressure increases.

This is what you bring:
  • An MBO degree in engineering and/or relevant certificates
  • Experience in managing technical installations, including digital systems
  • A Fire Alarm Systems Manager certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations (NEN is an advantage)
  • An electrical engineering certificate is a plus
  • Driving licence B (own car is a plus)
For this position, we require a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). Costs will be reimbursed.

  • Salary € 2672 - € 3610 gross p/m (scale 6 based on 40 hours)
