Then we are looking for you!<br>\nThe Schagen branch has a vacancy starting January 4, 2027 for:<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Biology teacher<\/strong><br>\n0.5 FTE (to replace until the summer holidays)<br>\n<br>\n<strong>What will you do?<\/strong><br>\nAs a Biology teacher, you deliver inspiring and engaging lessons to lower secondary school students, especially in Years 1 and 2. You make students curious about humans, animals, plants and the environment and help them better understand the world around them. Through varied teaching\n methods, practical investigations and engaging examples, you align with the worldviews of young people and encourage their investigative attitude.<br>\nYou guide students in their development of biological knowledge and skills and contribute to a safe and motivating learning environment. In addition, you work together with colleagues on the further development of education, with an eye towards contemporary themes such as health, sustainability,\n and biodiversity. In this way, you make an important contribution to the broad development of our students and their preparation for the upper grades of the vocational secondary education program (vmbo).<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job requirements<\/h2><strong>What do you bring?<\/strong><br>\nYou are the enthusiastic teacher that students will remember fondly later on. Of course, you are also a very nice colleague to work with. You fit well with Vonk if you feel at home in a work environment where connection, autonomy, and trust are\n central, and where we together with the students lay the foundation for a colorful future. In short, you bring:\n<ul>\n<li>a second-grade teaching qualification in biology (or you are studying for it);<\/li><li>Good pedagogical and teaching skills;<\/li><li>enthusiasm and commitment to work with your colleagues to develop the curriculum for your own subject;<\/li><li>possibly broader deployment to temporarily step in in other departments in emergencies for a limited number of hours.
