You ensure a pleasant atmosphere, help pupils on their way and actively contribute ideas about the further development of the media library.&nbsp;<br>\n<br>\nYour duties will include:\n<ul>\n<li>staffing the media library on working days (08:00 to 16:00), or at least from 10:00 to 15:00;<\/li><li>guiding, informing and supporting pupils;<\/li><li>ensuring a pleasant and safe working environment;<\/li><li>lending, receiving and organising books and other materials;<\/li><li>curating and maintaining the collection;<\/li><li>promoting reading enjoyment and literacy;<\/li><li>organising or supporting reading promotion activities;<\/li><li>maintaining contact with subject departments, such as Dutch and English, to align with educational projects and current themes;<\/li><li>contribute ideas for new initiatives to position the library visibly and attractively within the school;<\/li><li>supporting pupils in searching for information and using available resources.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Job requirements<\/h2><strong>We are looking for someone who:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>can work independently and shows initiative;<\/li><li>has an affinity with young people aged 12-18 in secondary education;<\/li><li>is strong pedagogically and is able to guide pupils in a respectful manner;<\/li><li>possesses good communication and interpersonal skills;<\/li><li>easily connects with pupils and colleagues;<\/li><li>can collaborate and coordinate well with teachers and subject departments;<\/li><li>gets enthusiastic about reading, books and language development;<\/li><li>has ideas or thinks along with ideas to further develop the media library in the future as an inspiring place within our school;<\/li><li>available 5 days a week from 8:00 to 16:00 or at least from 10:00 to 15:00<\/li><li>or is available on one or more fixed working days from 08:00 to 16:00, or at least from 10:00 to 15:00 per working day.<\/li><\/ul>\nWhen you are available as a volunteer for one or more fixed working days, we will coordinate together with another volunteer what the division of work (of working days) will be in the media library.&nbsp;<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment conditions<\/h2><strong>What do we offer?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>A meaningful voluntary role within an engaged school community.<\/li><li>The opportunity to make a direct contribution to the development of young people.<\/li><li>An enjoyable working environment with enthusiastic colleagues.<\/li><li>Space for your own initiative and ideas.<\/li><li>Appreciation for your dedication and involvement.<\/li><li>A tax-free volunteer allowance: \u20ac5.60 per hour, up to a maximum of \u20ac220 per month&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Als vrijwilliger in de mediatheek ben je het vertrouwde gezicht voor leerlingen en medewerkers.
