Working as a teacher at the Berger Scholengemeenschap (BSG) in Bergen? That means working at a small-scale school where creativity, art, and culture are central. As a teacher, you are part of a specific subject section. Within this section, you have a lot of contact with immediate colleagues and together you determine the content of the lessons. You also visit each other's classes, as this contributes to the development of education and each other. Tuesday afternoon is your meeting day. Then, students are free on time (2.55pm at the latest) and there is a 40-minute timetable. The rest of the week your lessons are 50 minutes.<\/p>\n
The art of learning<\/strong> You will be teaching three classes of MAVO-HAVO Year 2, for three hours per week each, preferably on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We have new, fully equipped practical and theory classrooms. The physics department works closely with the biology and chemistry departments. Two technical teaching assistants support the three teams.<\/p>\n If you become our new colleague, you can count on good general and subject-related guidance. \nAt the BSG, you, as a teacher, genuinely focus on our pupils. Creativity, art, and culture play a crucial role in this. Together with your colleagues, you encourage our pupils to develop in areas that go beyond purely cognitive skills. You also do this with colleagues outside of your subject department. Cross-curricular collaboration is a given here, for example during our activity weeks.<\/p>\nJob requirements<\/h2>We are looking for a qualified teacher or student teacher of physics.
