The Jan van Egmond Lyceum (grammar school, atheneum and havo) has a strong focus on art & culture, science and sports. Our school has existed for over 100 years and is reinventing itself. Biology Lecturer 1e\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>of 2e<\/sup> degrees (0.8-1.0 fte)<\/strong><\/p> You know how to explain complex subjects in an accessible and engaging way, and you pay attention to the individual needs and talents of the students. You can enthuse students with engaging practicals, examples that resonate with their world and current developments. You enjoy trying out new teaching methods to motivate students. You have broad knowledge of biology, but you are also able to convey this knowledge in an inspiring and understandable manner.<\/p> In consultation with you and the rest of our enthusiastic biology section, we will determine exactly how many and which classes you will teach. In our JEL Academy, junior secondary students work on cross-curricular projects. <\/strong>You hold a first or second-degree qualification in biology, or you are studying to obtain one. You possess excellent pedagogical and didactic skills and have an affinity for teaching students at grammar school (gymnasium), atheneum, and HAVO levels. You understand that education can and must change and you are eager to contribute to this alongside colleagues. You closely follow educational developments and are proficient with new (interactive) media.<\/p>
