Do you know exactly when to hold up a mirror to a student and when a listening ear is needed? For our TOP facility at Tabor College d\u2019Ampte, we are looking for an educational support worker who helps students (continue to) navigate their course.<\/em><br>\n<br>\n<strong>What will you do?<\/strong><br>\n<br>\nIn the TOP, you welcome pupils who cannot attend regular lessons temporarily. Your goal is clear: to provide a safe \u2019stopover\u2019 where the pupil can calm down, reflect on their behaviour, and simultaneously continue with their schoolwork.<br>\n<br>\nYou're the linchpin in a dynamic environment where no two hours are the same:\n<ul>\n<li>You help pupils reflect on their own behaviour. You mirror, evaluate and give advice based on their individual support needs. You celebrate successes and give compliments to boost their independence and self-confidence.<\/li><li>You provide a rock-solid structure. You make concrete agreements about expectations and monitor progress. You exude calm, consistently apply school rules, and set clear boundaries.<\/li><li>You ensure that the learning process doesn't stop. You help pupils organise their assignments, support them in their own work, and collaborate closely with the pupil's coaches\/mentors.&nbsp;<\/li><li>You are a true team player. You coordinate activities with colleagues, address others where necessary, and ensure accurate record-keeping in our student tracking system.<\/li><\/ul>\nYou easily make contact and seamlessly connect with the frame of reference of our VMBO students. You can switch rapidly between different situations without losing overview. Dealing discreetly with confidential information is a matter of course for you.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Working at D'Ampte<\/strong><br>\nThe d'Ampte VMBO location is part of the Tabor College and offers all educational pathways and profiles. Craftsmanship, ownership and leadership are central to the actions of every employee.<br>\n<br>\n<strong>What do we expect from you?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>You have a relevant qualification (e.g. Social Work, Pedagogy or a similar field).<\/li><li>You are a good listener and empathic, but you are also able to take the lead in a positive way and set boundaries.<\/li><li>You are trying to understand the factors behind problem behaviour and are discussing this with the pupil and internal experts.&nbsp;<\/li><li>You have knowledge and experience regarding internalising and externalising issues.<\/li><li>You show initiative, are critically positive, and work from Tabor's vision: respect, safety, and responsibility.<\/li><li><strong>Availability from the start of the 2026\/27 school year until at least the Christmas holidays. This is for 0.4 to 0.6 FTE. Fixed working days are Monday and Tuesday.<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n<strong>What do you get from us?<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Salary:<\/strong> A position in pay scale 8 in accordance with the Secondary Education Collective Agreement (\u20ac3,022 \u2013 \u20ac4,449 based on a full-time appointment). Your salary will depend on your experience and current pay grade.
