\nOur pupils at d'Ampte prefer learning by doing. They don't just want to know how the circulatory system works from a book, but also what you do if someone has a wound (first aid) or why healthy eating is so important in sports.
\n
\nAs a teacher of Biology and Care & Wellbeing, you are the indispensable link. In biology lessons, you explain the fundamentals of nature and the human body. During Care & Wellbeing classes, you help students translate that knowledge into skills that will be truly useful to them later on. Whether it's people and health or life and technology: you make the subject matter tangible, relevant, and challenging.<\/em>

\nWhat will you do?<\/strong>
\nYou teach approximately 20 teaching hours per week. This includes biology lessons for the lower years, combined with a few teaching hours of care and welfare.

\nWorking at D'Ampte<\/strong>
\nThe d'Ampte VMBO location is part of the Tabor College and offers all educational pathways and profiles. Our motto is: the best education for every student.

\nYou work in a close-knit team where collegiality is paramount. You start your workday with a joint 20-minute daily brief with your team members.

\nSmall classes and personal guidance<\/strong>
\nClasses are small, with around 20 students, so as a teacher you have a clear view of your student's development. Every d'Ampte student begins their school year with an introductory meeting and has a personal meeting with their coach every one or two weeks, instead of a class-wide mentor hour. This means the coach knows exactly what's going on and provides the right support for each student.
