You will teach 5 introductory science (biology) groups within our interdisciplinary afternoon programme. Together with the teachers of the other 6 subjects, you will work towards a final assignment within 4 themes per year. You will design your own lessons and make the students enthusiastic and more knowledgeable about your subject. You will look for connections with the other subjects of The Big Idea (geography, language, history, ICT, art, EBI - economics, citizenship and international).

\nThe initial groups are completely heterogeneous, with pupils aged 10 to 14 and all sorts of future pathways. Differentiation is your \u2018natural\u2019 foundation. You teach these lessons spread over two afternoons. Additionally, you are available one morning a week as a science teacher for two groups of FT2 (year 2 secondary education) pupils. Here, too, you will design your own lessons and prepare pupils for progression, ensuring they have a strong and curious foundation for subjects such as chemistry and physics thanks to you.

\nYou also supervise students during independent work periods. Carrying out a daily start-up and\/or shutdown is also part of this role. In addition, you are a coach for a number of students.

Employment conditions<\/h2>The vacancy is for a minimum of 0.3 FTE. This can optionally be extended to 0.4 or 0.5 FTE with supervisory duties or teaching other classes. Working days are negotiable, with Tuesday mornings being preferred due to the weekly team meeting. At Fourteens, teachers are present and available at school from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. If assigned to the afternoon programme, this is from 11:45 AM to 4:00 PM.
